Frequently Asked Questions About
Corky and Company Coats
Q: Can you tell me about the Corky and Company chilren's coats?
A: Corky and Company introduced it's first outerwear line in 1994. The brand Corky is named after the founders daughter. Then in 1998 Corky introduced Seeds, a line of clothing specific for babies. Corky and Company is headquartered in Fall River, Massachusetts, a classic New England city also known as "Battleship Cove" for all of the World War II Battleships on display there.
Q: What are Corky and Company coats made of?
A: There a few different lines of Corky coats. They are all remarkable craftsmanship and made with high attention to detail. The roll down cuffs and and the flower top hoods on Corky coats are a signature look unique to Corky and Company style. The traditional Corky coats that everyone wants are typically made of an acrylic and polyester and occasionally with a small amount of wool blend. In 2011 Corkey and Company introduce a line of fashion fleece coats to compliment the traditional styles.

Q: How do I clean a Corky and Company coat?
A: Corky coats are great, not only for dress coats but can alos be used as an every day coat, as long as you are sure to keep it cleaned on a regular basis. If you are going to let your little one wear her Corky every day, I recommend cleaning once a month, to keep it fresh and clean looking during the season. First things, first... check the pockets for anything that might ruin the coat in the dryer. Then shake it upside down to get any loose debri, etc out of the pockets. Remove any stickers you might find (inside AND out) and then follow the cleaning instructions for your Cokry Coat on this page.
Q: What is the return policy for Corky coats?
A: I love selling Corky coats. I hardly ever get any returns! If I do, it's usually because of a sizing issue and not because the customer didn't like the coat. If you are thinking about buying a Corky and Company coat, please let me help you size it for your child, use my Corky Coat measuring guide and send me your child's measurements and I can make sure it's the perfect fit. If you do need to return or exchange your Corky coat after you have purchased it from Classic Kids, you may return your purchase within seven days after receipt of the merchandise and receive a full refund, excluding the cost of delivery. Q: What styles of Corky and Company Coats are there?
A: There are several Corky coat styles and in the fall of 2011, new Corky styles became available. Here is a list of the Corky Styles and a sketch that shows what the coat style looks like.
Corky and Company Wrap Swing Coat:
This is on of the classic Corky styles. Wrap swing styles are a true swing coat with a hidden zipper and usually a button at the top to keep the cold out. The roll brim cuffs are a trademark Corky and Company look. The flower top hood usually has a contrasting edge to outline the little girl's face. Read more about how a Corky wrap swing coat fits.

Corky and Company Sweet Pea Coat:
This is another classic style that has been available for several seasons. The Corky sweet pea style coat is button down front, roll down cuffs and usually with a contrasting peter pan color with accent. In 2011 Corky came out with some variations of the sweet pea style, they added the "split sweet pea" and the "long sweet pea" styles. Learn more about the sweet pea Corky coats fit.

Corky and Company Mary Jayne Style Coat:
This is one of my abosulte favorites... oh my, my Mary Jayne! The Mary Jayne style came out in the fall 2010 and new in the fall 2011 Corky introduced a Mary Jayne bubble style. It has a double breasted look with the matching roll down cuffs. The hoods that I've seen do not have the matching flower tops, however theya re adorable. I might recommend ordering a size up in this style, as it might run a bit small. If you need help, please take your daughters measurements using our Corky coat measuring guide and send them to me.

Corky and Company Anne Marie Coat:
The Anne Marie style is very unique. The frill trim on the lines and cuffs of the coat make it super stylish. This style was new in the fall 2011 and is sure to be a great seller for Corky.

Corky and Company Snap Up Swing Coat:
If you like the swing style and the girl is young, you can still get that great look with a Corky snap up swing. These are usually for smaller children. They do not have as much material as the traditional wrap swing style so the cost is less too. As the name suggests they are snap up instead of zipper. There is usually not a flower top hood. They seem to be a little lighter weight than the traditional swing, but still very cozy and warm.

Corky and Company Hats and Mittens:
The two style hats usually available each year from Corky are the flower top and the roll brim hats. I love the flower top since it matches the flower top hood on the swing coats. I always sell a matching hat with the Corky's I offer, it really completes the look. Corky also offers mittens to match most of their styles as well.

Q: What is the proper way to store a Corky coat?
A: No specail cleaning or storage bags are needed for Corky coats. I have some great recommendations that will help your Corky looks great year after year. Corky Coat hand-me-downs are very common, following these Corky coat storage tips will keep them looking new for the next owner.
