So it's time to put your child's Corky winter coat away for the season. Let's hope they don't grow too much so he or she can still wear their Corky next year. You'll want your Corky winter coat to be in the same great condition when you take it out of storage, as it was when it went into storage. Before you put your child's Corky and Company winter coat into storage for the season, be sure to follow these 5 easy storage tips:

1. Empty out all of the pockets on the Corky winter coat. Kids like to put things in their pockets, that probably shouldn't belong there. You will want to check all the areas of the coat where things could collect: cuffs, hem lines, lining, etc.
2. Be sure to wash the coat following the instructions on the tag. If you're not quite sure about this, click here.
3. Fold the coat neatly in a way that doesn't force any of the material in a direction that it wouldn't normally go when being worn. Tuck the sleeve towards the center of the coat and fold the coat in half with the coat back out. I don't recommend hanging the coat unless you have a a sturdy padded hanger and can put the coat in an air-tight garment bag. I do reccomend a plastic storage bin that is air tight. Make sure it's a plastic bin and not a cardboard box.
4. Add cedar blocks to the storage bin and it will help prevent moisture, odor and insects. Not guaranteed, but it helps.
5. Store in a cool, dark, dry location.
