| APPAMAN COATS CARE & CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS | |||||||
Always look at the label on your Appaman coat for proper care instructions for the style coat you own. Here are general care instructions that will work for most Appaman coats:
Before you clean your coat, be sure to clean out the pockets and shake any debri from any places on the coat where debri can collect. Washing debri in a coat is probably just going to ruin the coat. Kids put a lot of things in their pockets, some things that probably don't belong there. Check for stickers too, stickers that go through the wash then dryer will melt onto the coat and become really tough to remove without damaging the coat. Also check for any loose buttons or tears that might become worse if they are put through the wash. Mend before washing if you can. Appaman is a high quality coat and you want to keep it for as long as you can. Proper care of your Appaman coat will keep it looking like new. I recommend cleaning a child's coat every four weeks to keep it fresh and clean looking during the wear season. Tip! - If your child is old enough and you feel he or she can wear a scarf... go for it! Scarves not only keep your kid warm, they also keep the neckline of the coat clean too.
