So you just bought your son or daughter one of the COOLEST kid's coats on the planet...a stylish Appaman coat. No - unfortunately they can't wear it all year (north pole residents excluded) so now you need to store it away for the spring and summer. One you take it out of storage next year you want to be their Appaman is still in the great condition it was when you packed it away for the season. Hope and pray they haven't grown too much and it still fits them. (We can help you size it accordingly click here.)

Follow these instruction for storing away your Appaman coat and it should come out of storage looking the same way it went into storage.

Preparing Your Appaman Coat for Storage:

1. Empty the pockets and any other places on the Appaman coat where debri can collect. Kids put a lot of things in their pockets, sometimes things that shouldn't be there.
2. Wash the coat thoroughly, follow our care instructions for cleaning the Appaman coat, click here.
3. Fold the coat neatly and place in a cleaned plastic container. I don't reccomend a cardboard box or hanging the coats. A clean plastic storage bin which can be sealed tightly is the preferred method.
4. Add cedar blocks to the storage bin and it will help prevent moisture, odor and insects. Not guaranteed, but it helps.
5. Store in a cool, dark, dry location.
6. Hope and pray it still fits your child when you open it up for the next season!
